There are two varieties of cherries: sweet cherries and sour (tart) cherries. The first ones are edible fresh and the second ones are used for marmelade and alcohol.
Sweet cherries Harvesting starts at the beginning of June (depending on the weather). All varieties (Burlat, Georgia, Merchant, Carla, Cordia, Regina, Sweethartt) ripe at different times. Taste them all!
Our administrator and producer Reiner Leininger created especially for the french First lady Carla Bruni, a friend of the family, “Carla”. “Carla” is a variety distinguished for its sweet taste and high quality.
Cherry jams and preserves The cherries we use for our jams we call them Dollenseppler and Benjamin. We use a family recipe for our marmelade. it is handmade 100% without additives.
Our tip: Order regularly and taste all varieties! Available from June 2011 (depending on weather conditions)
